Independent Associate Agreement

1. Relationship of the Parties

Associates operate as independent contractors with full discretion over their work hours, business methods, and marketing activities. This is not an employer-employee relationship.

2. Voluntary Affiliation Certification

Associates certify they are joining NS Federation voluntarily, without solicitation or pressure, and assume full responsibility for their decision to affiliate.

3. Duties and Responsibilities

Associates must maintain all required licenses, comply with federal and state regulations, act ethically and professionally, and maintain active Errors & Omissions insurance.

4. Compensation Structure

Commission levels are determined by the NS Federation Compensation Schedule. Commissions may be paid directly by carriers or through the agency, depending on carrier policy.

5. Minimum Yearly Personal Production Requirement (PPR)

Leadership ranks include annual production requirements ranging from $10,000 (AMD) to $50,000 (CEO Director/Federation) to maintain override eligibility.

• Alliance Marketing Director (AMD): $10,000/year
• Senior Marketing Director (SMD): $20,000/year
• National Marketing Director (NMD): $30,000/year
• Elite Marketing Director (EMD): $40,000/year
• CEO Director/Federation: $50,000/year

6. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

Associates must maintain strict confidentiality regarding company information, systems, training materials, and client data. All obligations survive termination of the agreement.

7. Media Release and Leadership Recognition

NS Federation may use associate names, photographs, and achievements for recognition and promotional purposes. Associates may opt out by submitting a written Performance Recognition Opt-Out Form.
